ANNOUNCEMENT

[NEW] Please be advised that as of December 9, 2015, the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Chicago will begin to process Visa Applications that have been registered online through https://consular.embassyofindonesia.org, prior to submitting the required documents to the Consulate.


PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE CONSULATE WILL ONLY ACCEPT COMPANY CHECKS, CASHIER CHECKS AND MONEY ORDERS.

A VISA ENTITLES THE HOLDER TO TRAVEL TO INDONESIA, BUT IT DOES NOT GUARANTEE ENTRY. AN IMMIGRATION OFFICER AT THE PORT OF ENTRY DETERMINES THE VISA HOLDER’S ELIGIBILITY BEFORE ENTERING INDONESIA.

 

FOR FOREIGN NATIONAL NON-RESIDENT, PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION TO THE NEAREST INDONESIAN EMBASSY/CONSULATE TO YOUR HOME.


TOURIST VISA EXEMPTION FOR US CITIZEN

Effective from June 10, 2015, US Citizen and foreign nationals of 45 countries and territories are eligible for Tourist Visa Exemption. This type of visa is granted for 30 days, non-extendable and cannot be converted into another type of visa (valid for tourism purpose only).

The visa exemption can only be applied at 9 (nine) immigration checkpoints, as follows:

  1. Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta
  2. Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali
  3. Kualanamu International Airport, Medan
  4. Juanda International Airport, Surabaya
  5. Hang Nadim International Airport, Batam
  6. Sri Bintan Pura Seaport, Tanjung Pinang
  7. Batam Center Seaport, Batam
  8. Sekupang Seaport, Batam
  9. Tanjung Uban Seaport, Tanjung Uban

The complete list of visa-free countries and territories are, as follows:

 

Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, People Republic of China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong-China, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Lao PDR, Macau, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Qatar, Republic of Korea, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and Viet Nam.


VISA HOURS :

MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

9.30 – 12.30  (submission of applications & pick up)

FRIDAY

9.30 – 12.00 (submission of applications& pick up),

PROCESSING HOURS : 72 (seventy two) hours/three working days, provided that all requirements have been fulfilled.

LENGTH OF STAY : As requested but not to exceed 60 (sixty) days.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Submit valid passport (at least 6 months beyond entry date).
  2. Copy of round trip tickets to Indonesia/itinerary.
  3. Proof of financial support during stay in Indonesia.(Bank statement minimum $ 2,000.00)
  4. Certified copy of green card or stay permit (for non US citizens).
  5. 1 Completed tourist visa application forms with picture.
  6. 1 Copy of Passport
  7. Copy photo’s ID (covering 13 states as follow: ND, SD, NE, KS, MN, IA, MO, WI, IL, MI, IN, KY, OH) to qualify the address as an applicant.
  8. Letter from the company where the applicant works.
  9. Parent’s Consent Letter for minor/child.
  10. For visa by mail, submit prepaid self-addressed return envelope by U.S. Postal Service Express Mail/ Certified Mail/ FedEx ( Please No Ground Fedex ), UPS with a tracking number.

VISA FEE : $ 50.00 for single entry.

METHOD OF PAYMENT :

  • By mail: Money order or cashier’s check payable to “Indonesian Consulate General”. Personal checks are not accepted.
  • In person: money order/cashier’s check or cash with exact money.

VISA VALIDATION : 90 day from the date of issuance.
