Visa Exemption / Visa on Arrival / Visit Visa : Which One?

Visa Exemption

Applicable for nationals from 169 countries at 124 immigration check points in Indonesia (airports, sea ports and land borders).

Valid for 30 days of stay. Non-extendable and can not be transferred into any other type of stay permit.

The purpose of visit: Tourism, Family, Social, Art and Cultural, Transit, Giving Lecture/ Attending Seminar, or Meeting with headquarter / branch office in Indonesia.

Visa on Arrival

Applicable for nationals from 68 countries at more than 40 immigration checkpoints in Indonesia (airports and seaports).

Valid for 30 days and extendable for 1 (one) time for another 30 days of stay.

The Purpose of the Visit: Tourism, Family, Social, Cultural, Business, including: Transit, Non-Commercial Sport Activity, Government Duty, Short Course /Training, Attending Seminar / Giving Lecture, Meeting with headquarter / branch office in Indonesia, Business Negotiation / Purchasing, Working in a very urgent matter.

Visa on Arrival Countries:

Algeria, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria,   Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Rep. of Korea, Kuwait, Latvia,  Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg,  Maldives, Malta, Mexico,  Monaco, New Zealand, Netherlands,  Norway, Oman,  Panama, Papua New Guinea, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Suriname,  Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Timor Leste, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States of America, United Arab Emirates.

 

 

Visit Visa

All nationals, except from 9 countries that need approval from Immigration Office in Jakarta (Calling Visa).

Valid for up to 60 days and extendable for 5 (five) times in the Immigration Office. Each extension gives another 30 days of stay.

The Purpose of the Visit: Tourism, Family, Social, Cultural, Business, including: Transit, Non-Commercial Sport Activity, Government Duty, Short Course /Training, Attending Seminar / Giving Lecture, Teaching Language, Meeting with headquarter / branch office in Indonesia, Business Negotiation / Purchasing, Working in a very urgent matter.

 

Note: If you plan to go to Indonesia for doing internship, participating in commercial competition or paid work activity, you need to have authorization letter from Immigration office prior to applying for Visit Visa at the Consulate. The application of authorization letter could be submitted by your sponsor in Indonesia through https://visaonline.imigrasi.go.id/online/

Payment

The Consulate only accepts money order or company's check, addressed to The Consulate General of the  Republic of Indonesia in Chicago - 211 W Wacker dr, Ste 800, Chicago. The Consulate does not accept cash or card.
